China sends two more football execs to jail for corruption

August 20 – China’s crackdown on corrupt football officials has intensified with yet more jail sentences meted out.

Twenty-four hours after Li Yuyi, former vice president of the Chinese Football Association, was sentenced to 11 years and fined 1 million yuan ($139,579.03) along with Fu Xiang, formerly executive vice president and secretary-general of the Wuhan Football Association, two more officials have suffered similar fates.
