Caitlin Clark's new friendship with Fever mascot Lil Freddie is so wholesome

Indiana Fever rookie guard Caitlin Clark has a new friend, and his name is Lil Freddie.

The breakout WNBA superstar has already developed a fondness for the mini version of the team’s mascot, Freddie Fever, as she was delighted to see him at a recent Indiana game.

During a recent press availability, Clark discussed how big of a fan she is of the Fever mascot.

“There’s a mini Freddie; I like mini Freddie,” Clark told reporters about her new mascot pal. “Mini Freddie just shows up randomly every 10 games. It’s like, you never know when he might show up. And then, mini Freddie is suddenly on the court for a game.”

Clark gave Lil Freddie a big hug the last time the two met each other on the Gainbridge Fieldhouse court, further solidifying the sensational rookie as a certified Lil Freddie supporter.

While Clark has garnered tons of new fans during her WNBA debut, Lil Freddie has gained a major fan himself in Clark.
