Forest has been keen on signing a striker this summer to bolster Nuno Espirito Santo‘s attacking options.

Nketiah, 25, appears to be the man arriving at the City Ground to lead the line.

Fabrizio Romano claimed that the striker has agreed terms with the Reds.

It is suggested that a deal is entering the final stages to be fully agreed with Arsenal.

Forest appears to have turned to Nketiah after having a £22million bid rejected by Feyenoord for Santiago Gimenez.

It is added that Forest are “confident” of getting the deal for Nketiah “done soon”.

The club will be keen on getting the deal wrapped up, as Crystal Palace are still interested.

Nketiah has struggled for consistent gametime at the Emirates for the last couple of seasons and was an unused substitute against Wolves.

Manager Mikel Arteta has preferred Gabriel Jesus and Kai Havertz to him in the striker role.

Last season, he made 27 appearances in the Premier League but only started ten games.

Despite his limited game time, He still found the net five times in the league.

The forward also chipped in with two assists for his team-mates as the Gunners finished as runners-up to Manchester City.

Nketiah has also had interest from abroad this summer as Ligue 1 giants Marseille were keen.

However, the French side were unable to agree on a deal with the North London outfit and pulled out of a deal.

Meanwhile, Arteta is believed to be set to sign a new long-term contract at the club.

The manager’s current deal expires in 2025, but he will commit his future to the Gunners.

Forest have also made another signing as Alex Moreno has arrived on a season-long loan from Aston Villa.
