Francis Ngannou open to Tyson Fury rematch after controversial loss despite huge MMA return to fight 6ft 8in rival
FRANCIS NGANNOU still has his eyes on boxing and Tyson Fury – despite his mammoth return to MMA.
The heavyweight star walked out on the UFC and put his cage career on hold to pursue a lucrative switch to the ring.

It still earned Ngannou another mega-fight against Anthony Joshua – which he brutally lost in two rounds.
Now Ngannou is back in MMA – this time with the Professional Fighters League – to face 6ft 8in powerhouse Renan Ferreira.
But he is still refusing to rule out a rematch with Fury, 36, or another boxing bout down the line.
Asked about a Fury rematch, Ngannou said: “Yes, I am still looking forward to do more boxing matches. I’m not done yet. I still a few out of me.
“As of right now, I’m focussing on this one. I don’t know what will be next after this fight.
“But I’ll get this one solved first and see what the possibilities and and make a decision.”
Ferreira, 34, himself warned Ngannou, 37, must have both eyes on MMA ahead of their October 19 clash.

He said: “I think Francis is a committed guy.
“I think he understands that he has a tall task in front of him and that he’s fully focussed on this. At least I hope so.”
Ngannou prepares for his first MMA bout since January 2022 and admitted he has missed wearing the lethal 4oz gloves.
He laughed: “I do miss small gloves. I do miss the fact that you can change level; strike, grapple and do other stuff.
“It’s what I’m used to, it’s what my body mechanics are used to and getting back into it is just a great thing.”
