Orioles reinstate LHP Keegan Akin to bullpen

The Baltimore Orioles activated Keegan Akin from the paternity list on Friday and optioned fellow left-hander Nick Vespi to Triple-A Norfolk.

Akin, 29, is 2-0 with a 3.52 ERA in 51 relief appearances this season. In five seasons with the club, he is 10-17 with a 4.81 ERA in 152 appearances (25 starts).
