OLD TRAFFORD is not the only leaky stadium in the Premier League.

For Brighton’s Amex had water pouring through its roof during their clash against Manchester United.

The United stadium was ridiculed last season after huge leaks from the roof were evident in the match against Arsenal.

However, as the Red Devils visited Sussex, it was proved that even newer stadiums came to face the same issue.

The Seagulls‘ Amex Stadium was leaking due to heavy rain during the top-flight fixture.

Commentator Darren Fletcher on TNT Sport spotted the water falling through the roof and could be heard saying, “it’s not just Old Trafford you see, they are everywhere”.

Scot Ally McCoist added: “What kind of weather are we getting? What are you serving us up down here.”

Fans also reacted to the leaking roof on social media.

Many joked that Man United must feel like they are playing a home fixture.

One posted: “I noticed it a few seconds back and now the commentators have mentioned it too…. Brighton‘s swanky Amex stadium is leaking…

A third commented: “Looks like United have brought their leaky roof to Brighton’s Amex Stadium.”

A fourth said: “Man United fans must feel so at home with water dripping down from the roofs at the Amex Stadium.”

Another added: “Just like Old Trafford, the Amex Stadium is also leaking.”

The Amex was opened in 2011 as it replaced Brighton’s temporary Withdean Athletics stadium.

It has been the home to the Seagulls since their promotion to the Premier League in 2017.

Despite the bad weather it did little to dampen the spirits of Fabian Hürzeler’s side as they took the lead before half-time.

Danny Welbeck netted the 100th goal of his professional career to put Brighton ahead against his former side.

Erik ten Hag’s side line-up without Jadon Sancho in the squad as the manager hinted at “some issues”.
