Kyren Williams returning punts for the Rams is the worst news for his fantasy football value
Two things were true going in to the 2024 NFL season for Kyren Williams: he was explosive last year, averaging 95.3 yards per game and scoring 12 times on the ground and three times through the air.
But he was also a risky pick in fantasy football this year with the Los Angeles Rams drafting Blake Corum out of Michigan.
And now there’s a third truth: with Sean McVay (who has been known to talk fantasy football) revealing Williams would return punts for the team, to — per McVay, via ESPN — “get touches and impact the game,” Williams is even riskier as a pick in fantasy.
This could mean he’s even more of an injury risk. This is why he’s on our list of players being taken too high in fantasy football.
