Mariners activate SS J.P. Crawford (pinky) from IL

The Seattle Mariners activated shortstop J.P. Crawford from the 10-day injured list prior to Wednesday's afternoon game against the visiting Tampa Bay Rays.

Crawford will play shortstop and bat in the leadoff spot against the Rays.

Crawford missed five weeks with a fractured right pinky. He was injured when struck by a pitch from Tyler Anderson of the Los Angeles Angels on J
