‘I spoke to Noel’ says talkSPORT host as he reveals first date Oasis could be seen together again

WITH Oasismania sweeping the country, fans are eagerly awaiting the chance to see them perform after the best part of two decades.

However, talkSPORT host Simon Jordan has hinted that Noel and Liam Gallagher could be seen back together sooner than we think.

The Gallagher brother’s last performance came back in August 2009.

But after 15 years, it was announced earlier this week they had put an end to their feud and would reunite and perform together once again.

Little by little the band teased the dates of their comeback tour from July 2025.

However, they may even be in line for a reunion as soon as next month, according to former Crystal Palace owner Jordan.

And if he is proven right, it would mean Anthony Joshua vs Daniel Dubois is not the only supersonic sight at Wembley on September 21.

Speaking on talkSPORT, the 56-year-old said: “I spoke to Noel yesterday all about [the Oasis reunion].

“It’s funny because I asked him – basically he came to the fight between Joshua Buatsi and Dan Azeez [in February] – and I had asked him about September 21.

“His reason for not going was because he didn’t think it was a good look, if he was in the crowd, Liam was singing and he was wearing earmuffs!

“But now they’ve all made friends and a big bag of money around the world for them [it could change].

“He loves going [to the big fights], all this hullabaloo for Oasis reforming, they didn’t make the same noise for Blur.”

Liam, 51, is playing a mini-gig ahead of the supernova heavyweight clash.

Oasis’ albums “Definitely Maybe” and “[What’s the Story?] Morning Glory” are two of the highest-selling albums in British history.

When they split in 2009, Noel, 57, said: “It’s with some sadness and great relief to tell you that I quit Oasis tonight.

“People will write and say what they like but I simply could not go on working with Liam a day longer.”

While it is unlikely the pair will perform at Wembley together, seeing them both present at the national stadium would be a huge feat in itself whatever happens.

The Wembley spectacle – the winner of which will land the IBF heavyweight title – is already a sell-out with more than 90,000 fans expected to cram in for the Battle of Britain.

Saudi boxing chief Turki Alalshikh, who is staging the event, revealed he received a request to expand the capacity to more than 94,000.

This would see the British boxing record set by Tyson Fury vs Dillian Whyte in 2021 Slide Away.
