Chelsea risk missing out on BOTH top striker transfer targets as Al-Ahli splash £300m on Toney and Osimhen

CHELSEA are at risk of missing out on both of their top targets with Ivan Toney and Victor Osimhen set to join Al-Ahli in a £300million double transfer.

The two strikers were on Chelsea’s shopping list heading into deadline day.

They are also set to nab fellow Chelsea target Victor Osimhen in a deal worth £200m overall[/caption]

But the Mirror and Sky Sports claim both Toney and Osimhen will now move to Saudi Arabia to spearhead Al-Ahli’s attack this season.

Bees star Toney had entered the final year of his contract in London.

The situation saw Chelsea emerge as late suitors in Enzo Maresca’s quest for a new striker.

However, Toney has now agreed a four-year deal to move to the Middle East.

He will earn a staggering £100m during his time in Saudi, with Al-Ahli also paying a £40m fee to Brentford.

Meanwhile, within just minutes of each other, the oil-rich club are also set to sign Osimhen from Napoli.

The Nigerian is expected to cost £67m, with his Italian club desperate to cash in after signing Chelsea flop Romelu Lukaku.

But Osimhen’s wages will total a staggering £134m, taking his overall fee to £200m.

And when combined with Toney’s numbers, Al-Ahli are shelling out a mind-blowing £300m for the pair.

However, reports in Saudi Arabia have cast doubt on the signing of both men.

TRANSFER Deadline Day is here - with clubs against the clock to finalise their summer business.

Chelsea reportedly remain in talks to sign Victor Osimhen from Napoli, with time running out for the Blues to complete a deal.

Meanwhile, Ivan Toney is expected to join Saudi Pro League club Al-Ahli, according to reports.

Elsewhere, Newcastle are set to walk away from their long-running pursuit of Crystal Palace centre-back Marc Guehi.

In other news, Chelsea and Juventus remain in discussions over a deal for Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho ahead of the 11pm deadline.

Al-Ahli would require two free slots for foreign players in their squad, but currently only have one.

Sources also told Sky Sports that Al-Ahli do not need two new strikers as they already boast Roberto Firmino.

And on top of that, they do not have the budget required to sign both Toney and Osimhen.

It now remains to be seen if Chelsea target another striker before tonight’s deadline, or if one of Toney or Osimhen becomes available again.

The Blues are still after Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho.

But his move hinges on Raheem Sterling accepting a switch to Old Trafford.

Chelsea also hope to offload Ben Chilwell and Trevoh Chalobah today.

While the likes of Armando Broja, Carney Chukwuemeka and Cesare Casadei could yet leave.
