Desperate Chelsea draw up last-minute three-man transfer shortlist including Calvert-Lewin after Osimhen and Toney shock

DOMINIC CALVERT-LEWIN has emerged as an alternative target for Chelsea.

The Stamford Bridge club will move for the Everton striker if their bids for Ivan Toney and Victor Osimhen go west – with both on the verge of moving to the Saudi Pro League.

Toffees manager Sean Dyche has already admitted that his club’s difficult financial situation means all his players are up for grabs for the right price.

Striker DCL, in the last year of his contract and with no sign of him agreeing a new deal, would be difficult for his club to hold onto.

And that could be for £20million or less – half the current value of Brentford’s England front man Toney.

Another player on Chelsea’s radar is Brighton’s Evan Ferguson.

He was strongly linked with a Stamford Bridge move last year and is yet to make an appearance under new boss Fabian Hurzeler.

Finally, Chelsea could consider a late return for Aston Villa’s Jhon Duran.

The player held talks with Blues chiefs after a £40million bid for submitted earlier this summer.

He then looked set for a move to West Ham but remains at Villa Park.

Chelsea’s late scramble comes after they appeared to miss out on both Toney and Osimhen.

Saudi side Al-Ahli have reportedly struck a £40m to sign Toney from Brentford, with the striker receiving £60m in wages.

It’s also claimed they have agreed to pay £67m for Napoli star Osimhen, who could earn £134m in the Middle East.

That would work out at a stunning £300m total package for both strikers.

But sources in Saudi claim Al-Ahli are unable to sign two attackers due to limits on foreign players in their squad.

It’s also reckoned they do not have the cash to complete both deals.

And that could yet leave the door open for Chelsea to land either one later today.
