‘Will you let me finish’ snaps Gary Neville live on Sky Sports as Man Utd legend refuses to answer Carragher’s question
GARY NEVILLE swerved a damning question about Manchester United in a frosty exchange with Jamie Carragher live on Sky Sports.
The Red Devils‘ legend blasted United’s midfield after Liverpool’s 3-0 away win – but his fellow pundit kept digging away with one huge query.
Casemiro and Bruno Fernandes were eclipsed by Liverpool’s midfield[/caption] Old Trafford boss Erik ten Hag faces more pressure after a 3-0 loss[/caption]Luis Diaz punished two errors from Casemiro, who was hauled off at half-time, before Mo Salah slotted a deserved third goal for Arne Slot’s men.
And as Neville pored over the gruesome details of United’s defeat, Carragher tried to interrupt.
Carra said: “Before you start on that would you still swap the two midfields?”
Nev barely looked up before responding: “Will you let me finish?”
Carragher went silent – as Neville avoided answering him but maintained his barrage against the Red Devils’ efforts in mid-pitch.
He said: “Man Utd having Casemiro, Fernandes, Eriksen, McTominay, Mount, now Ugarte, Mainoo… and they’ve absolutely destroyed them, that three in midfield for Liverpool today.
And that shouldn’t be happening. I think that’s a real pressure point for Erik ten Hag.
“This Liverpool three in midfield have outplayed, out-fought them – they way they set up, found space.

“He (Erik ten Hag) has got to try to get more out of the players he’s got at his disposal, because they are not bad players.”
Visiting trio Dominik Szoboszlai, Alexis Mac Allister and Ryan Gravenberch gelled too well for Kobbie Mainoo, Bruno Fernandes and Casemiro, who was replaced by Toby Collyer after a ponderous 45 minutes.
And despite Nev’s rant he was given no time to reflect as Carra came straight back at him mischievously.
Carragher said: “Now you’ve finished will you answer my question?”
Viewers loved an exchange which Sky Sports joked on social media was Carra “winding up” Nev.
One fan posted: “Carra cooked him”.
Another suggested: “Gary you deserve it. You said we should trust ETH.”
A third observer couldn’t resist an even cheekier swipe at the former right-back as he wrote: “Absolute gulf in class between these two – Liverpool and Man United that is not Gaz and Carra.”
