Aston Villa 3 Everton 2: Dreadful Toffees blow two-goal lead AGAIN as late Jhon Duran screamer seals frantic victory

JHON DURAN’S screamer sealed a shock 3-2 victory for Aston Villa who came from two goals behind to beat Everton in the Premier League.

It’s the second time in as many matches that Sean Dyche’s side threw away a two goal advantage, after Bournemouth scored three late goals at Goodison Park before the international break.

The result leaves Everton second from bottom after suffering five defeats from five this season, and Villa up to third.

Dwight McNeil took matters into his own hands early after battling the ball off former Toffee Amadou Onana before the half-way line.

The full-back still had lots to do, dribbling the ball 10 yards and firing past Emiliano Martinez‘s low left corner from the edge of the penalty area.

The visitors were in dreamland inside 27 minutes as Calvert-Lewin’s header doubled their shock lead.

But Ollie Watkins, who could’ve scored four, took full advantage of his time at home during England’s Uefa Nations League break after bagging a brace.

Waktins withdrew from Lee Carsley’s first squad two weeks ago, after the medical team at St George’s Park sent him back to Villa Park.

But Jhon Duran provided the moment of the match in the 76th minute – and perhaps the weekend.

The sub unleashed a thunderblot screamer right into Jordan Pickford’s top corner from 30 YARDS.

It was the second time Everton blew a two goal lead as they fell to a successive 3-2 defeat.
