Franchise icon Rick Nash to lead Blue Jackets' hockey ops

The Columbus Blue Jackets named franchise icon Rick Nash as their president of hockey operations on Friday.

The No. 1 overall pick at the 2002 NHL Draft by the Blue Jackets, he played with the club from 2002-12 and is the franchise leader in goals (289), assists (258) and points (547). He concluded his career in 2018 following stints with the New York Rangers and Boston Bruin
