Inside the life of Ms Olympia star Nadia Capotosto AKA Lady Rock
IN THE world of female bodybuilding there is no greater accomplishment than being crowned Ms Olympia.
That is exactly what Nadia Capotosto is hoping to achieve at the 2024 competition.
Nadia Capotosto is a professional bodybuilder[/caption] The star’s body is incredible and requires hours of training[/caption]Born in a small town on the coast of Italy between Rome and Naples, Nadia Capotosto is a professional bodybuilder Known as Lady Rock.
She grew her passion for the sport in her twenties, once saying that at first it was just “to socialize and have fun”.
But after realising she had an incredible talent for it, Nadia decided to take her bodybuilding further .
She competed for the first time in 2015, and told Wings of Strength: “I don’t know what I fell for specifically.
“I just know that that continuously chasing a better version of me and constantly testing my limits in each training session brought put the strongest and most stubborn part of me.”
Bodybuilding
In 2018, Nadia decided to be a women’s physique competitor professionally.
However, after doing three shows she realized that her passion was in women’s bodybuilding.
Speaking about her decision she said: “My body wanted more.”
After training hard, her first big event in bodybuilding was in Puerto Rico Pro in 2021, and she won.
Nadia’s impressive stats
Nadia stands at 5ft5in in height.
She weighs around 175 pounds onstage and about 200 pounds in the off-season.
Speaking about her incredible physique, she said: “Bodybuilding is a way of being different but normal at the same time.
“A feminine body doesn’t necessarily have to look like mine.
“The most important thing is to find the right balance between being a woman and being so strong and showing it in such an obvious way.”
Nadia’s next big challenge is Ms Olympia[/caption]Heading for Ms Olympia
Nadia has qualified to compete in Ms Olympia three times now.
In 2021, she came tenth in the competition but didn’t place in 2023.
Nadia is taking part in Ms Olympia 2024, and she is thrilled.
Posting on Instagram about her journey to qualify, she said: “Representing my category in foreign soil is an honor, but also a big responsibility.
“Behind every contracted muscle there is an endless series of sacrifices: days repeated the same for months, the same routine, the same diet, the same foods.
“Training at the same time, always with the same split, day after day. Sometimes it feels like a never ending marathon… but it all boils down to those **10 minutes on stage**.
“Ten minutes worth every sacrifice. Ten minutes that remind you why you started, give you the strength to keep going and give back everything you gave.
“Because in the end, it’s not just a race. It’s a course. A journey of growth, strength and determination.”
