The Utah Hockey Club has officially made its NHL debut as a franchise, winning their home opener in Salt Lake City on Tuesday against the Chicago Blackhawks.
After a long summer of waiting, hockey is finally being played in Utah, as the team bested the Blackhawks 5-2 in front of its home crowd at the Delta Center for the first time. The scenes were absolutely electric in Salt Lake on Tuesday, with the Utah Hockey Club emerging victorious for the first — and certainly not the last — time in their inaugural season.
