Joe Mixon rewarded fantasy managers' patience with a monster Week 6 return from injury
Before Sunday, Joe Mixon hadn’t played since going down with an ankle injury in Week 2. It was a big blow to fantasy managers who saw the potential of what Mixon could do alongside C.J. Stroud in a big Week 1 debut for the Houston Texans.
Over the last month since that 159-yard performance, however, Mixon has been sidelined and his managers have had to scrap for replacements. Especially with Mixon’s own backup, Dameon Pierce, also missing time.
For those managers who resisted the urge to trade Mixon for more immediate help, patience was rewarded in Week 6. Mixon had 102 rushing yards, 30 receiving yards and two touchdowns in his return.

It was exactly what the doctor ordered. Mixon should be in all fantasy lineups going forward.
