RUUD VAN NISTELROOY is odds-on favourite for the Leicester job.

The Foxes are in the market for a new first team manager having parted company with Steve Cooper.
Last week’s 2-1 defeat by Chelsea, inflicted by Cooper’s predecessor Enzo Maresca, left the Foxes 16th in the Premier League and a single point above the relegation zone.
Though outside of the drop zone, reports suggest the Leicester hierarchy were concerned their performances would not be good enough to retain their top-flight status.
But who is next in line for the position, and will they be installed before next weekend’s clash with Brentford?
The betting markets suggest it’ll be Ruud van Nistelrooy who gets his first permanent role as a Premier League manager.
Van Nistelrooy, 48, enjoyed a brief but successful four-game stint as caretaker manager of Manchester United — bookending his stay with victories over Leicester.

The Dutchman was not retained at Old Trafford following the arrival of new boss Ruben Amorim.
But the odds suggest he won’t be out of work for long having seen his price shorten from 10/3 on Monday to 4/7 overnight.
David Moyes is next at 4/1. The Scottish coach remains a free agent having departed West Ham over the summer and is reportedly being evaluated by Leicester’s top tier.
Graham Potter (11/2) is also high on Leicester’s shortlist of managerial candidates having previously been the first-choice option to replace Maresca over the summer.
He has, however, been out of management since leaving Chelsea in March 2023 and reports suggest that he’ll need convincing to take on the project.
