Watch Kai Asakura battle older brother on street in first fight ever
Kai Asakura is used to getting thrown into the proverbial fire.
Asakura, the former RIZIN bantamweight champion, makes his UFC debut this Saturday at UFC 310, and does so in the main event against Alexandre Pantoja for the UFC flyweight championship. The exciting finisher shared a story on the ‘UFC 310 Countdown’ about his older brother — who was known for street fighting and beating everybody — challenging Asakura to a fight on the street with boxing gloves.
While Asakura didn’t have any real fighting experience, he showed natural ability, leading him down the path he’s currently on. Watch the video below.

The 31-year-old Asakura enters the octagon for the first time after back-to-back body shot knockout victories — including his stoppage of former Bellator champ Juan Archuleta to win the RIZIN 135-pound title in December. Asakura is 5-1 over his past six outings, and looks to add another title belt to his mantle in his first flyweight contest in over seven years.
