Video: Savona sends message to Forest fans after scoring against Manchester United
Nicolo Savona scored his first goal for Nottingham Forest on Saturday in a closely-fought 2-2 draw with Premier League giants Manchester United.
The Red Devils led going into the half-time break but Forest came out swinging and quickly turned the game on its head thanks to Morgan Gibbs-White and Savona.
It was a bit of a messy goal with a scramble in front of the goalmouth but the Italian managed to turn the ball in, helping his side pick up a valuable point in what has been so far a terrible season, with three permanent head coaches in the first three months of the season.
After the game, Savona posted a short clip through Forest’s official X account in which he thanked the fans for his support and spoke of his happiness with his first goal for the club.
