Lions grades: Offense flops as Vikings deal knockout blow to season

MINNEAPOLIS — Richard Silva grades the Detroit Lions in their 23-10 loss to the Minnesota Vikings on Thursday. Quarterback Jared Goff entered Thursday with five interceptions on the season. He had two versus the Vikings, including one throw over the middle to Amon-Ra St. Brown that was read like a book and jumped by veteran safety Harrison Smith. Goff’s first interception was a bit more excusable (he was pressured on third down), but it was still an ill-advised decision on a lofted attempt to Isaac TeSlaa that was picked off by defensive back Byron Murphy Jr. Goff was also a part of three fumbles, all of which were lost.
