Legendary American tennis player, 4-time Olympic champion 45-year-old Venus Williams, who announced her engagement in the summer, married 37-year-old Danish-Italian actor Andrea Preti, reports Vogue.

Their first ceremony took place on September 18 on the Italian island of Ischia. Venus and Andrea wanted to get married in Italy, but since the paperwork would have taken as long as eight months (Williams is a foreigner), the wedding was unofficial.

And this time the couple went all out in Palm Beach (Florida) in the USA – a region closely associated with Venus's life and career. The celebrations lasted almost a week. One of the first events was a trip on a yacht, which was given to the newlyweds by the bride's legendary sister Serena Williams, in the company of their closest family members and friends (from Andrea's side, there were about 25 guests from Italy at the wedding, including his family members and business partners).

In the following days, Venus and Andrea hosted pool parties at home or went on trips again.

A bachelorette party was held on Tuesday, and on Wednesday the newlyweds had dinner with 35 of their closest relatives at a famous restaurant in Miami.

Thursday was set aside for sports activities, so Venus, Andrea, and the guests played tennis, volleyball, and other sports.

On Friday, the couple got married in front of the registry office. Ten dresses were made for Venus for this purpose, and she chose one of them.

On Saturday, during the wedding ceremony and the after-party, Venus changed outfits four times.

“They say that a wedding goes by very quickly — and it’s true. We started celebrating on Monday. On the yacht, Serena took care of everything: the food, the atmosphere, the details. We sang, danced, and just enjoyed our time together,” said the happy bride, who has earned over $45 million on the courts.

Recall that rumors about the romance between Williams and Preti, known, in particular, from the film “One More Day”, appeared back in July 2024, when they were spotted on a romantic vacation in Italy. But, as the tennis player herself admitted, they first met in 2024 at Milan Fashion Week, where they accidentally ended up. After the show, Andrea approached the tennis player, and they met. They continued their correspondence and soon met again in London. On January 31, the couple got married in Tuscany.
