Report Guendouzi has first official Fenerbahce offer, Lazio seek replacement
Italian reports suggest Fenerbahce have now made a formal offer worth €27m for Matteo Guendouzi, so Lazio look to Bologna’s Giovanni Fabbian, Milan’s Ruben Loftus-Cheek or Jacopo Fazzini of Fiorentina.
The midfielder can be sacrificed by coach Maurizio Sarri if he can bring in a player with a more creative approach to the role in the January transfer window.
Lazio denied this weekend that a formal proposal had been received, but now transfer pundit Marco Conterio maintains the bid was sent today worth €25m plus €2m in add-ons.
Fenerbahce make formal bid for Guendouzi
It is widely reported that Guendouzi would be open to the move, although there is also thought to be interest from Atletico Madrid, Galatasaray, Newcastle United and Sunderland.
Lazio are meanwhile already planning his replacement, with Fabbian the primary target, even if Bologna are in no rush to sell.
Another player requested specifically by Sarri is believed to be Loftus-Cheek, who is not getting regular playing time at Milan under Max Allegri.
The most likely candidate for them is Fazzini, who has struggled to make an impact with troubled Fiorentina.
