Como and Newcastle eye deal for Mlacic as new agent puts Inter talks on hold
Only a few days ago, Branimir Mlacić seemed destined to join Inter, but the 18-year-old defender has now changed his agent, putting talks with the Nerazzurri on hold and attracting interest from Como and Newcastle, among others.
Inter could surprisingly miss out on Croatian talent Mlacić, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
Will Mlacic’s Inter move collapse?
Fabrizio Romano reported last week that the Nerazzurri were on the verge of reaching an agreement with the player’s camp after shaking hands with Hajduk Split over a €5m transfer.
Gazzetta, however, now reports that Mlacić has changed his agent, picking the powerful Fali Ramadani, who has put talks with the Serie A giants on hold.
Mlacic has attracted interest from many other clubs in Italy and Europe.
Mlacic will listen to offers from other clubs
Como and Udinese, for example, would be ready to immediately add him to the first team, while Inter would rather offer the 18-year-old to play for a few months in their U23 squad.
According to Gazzetta, Borussia Dortmund, Real Madrid and Newcastle are also monitoring the situation, with Mlacic considering alternatives and his potential switch to Inter far from guaranteed.
