Napoli winger David Neres has posted a picture on Instagram after undergoing ankle surgery in London: ‘All went well…’

Napoli winger Neres has undergone ankle surgery in London, and according to reports in Italy, he’s not expected to return to action before April.

Neres had travelled to London on Sunday morning and posted a picture on social media after going under the knife on Monday.

“All went well,” wrote the Brazilian winger.

“Thank you to my wife, who was not only my wife, but also my doctor, physio…”

Neres, 28, has grabbed six goals and four assists in 25 appearances across all competitions with Napoli this season.

Some of his teammates, including Billy Gilmour, Vanja Milinkovic-Savic and captain Giovanni Di Lorenzo, commented on Neres’ latest picture with heart emojis, wishing him a speedy recovery.
