The Strike Zone: Dakota, Warren Cousino punch tickets for D-1 state finals
STERLING HEIGHTS – Even with a perfect undefeated dual match record, Macomb Dakota has only won two tournaments this season. The second one came at the most important time – the state tournament. Dakota, ranked sixth in Division 1, put together an impressive team score of 3680 to win its fourth regional title in eight years and sixth overall at 5 Star Lanes in Sterling Heights. Fifth-ranked Warren Cousino United finished second at 3481 to grab the other coveted state finals birth out of the 13-school field.
