Tennessee basketball fans had little reason for high expectations when the Men's NCAA Tournament began. The Vols were maddeningly inconsistent for much of the regular season. Coach Rick Barnes pointed out that failing repeatedly. A sixth seed for the NCAA Tournament didn’t generate optimism, either.
