Liverpool are reportedly set to secure a deal for Barcelona defender Yerry Mina in the summer, but the Premier League outfit must pull the plug on signing him immediately.

Spanish journalist Ignacio Miguelez reported on the El Chiringuito TV programme that the Reds have agreed a deal to sign the 23-year-old on loan for the entire of next season.

The 6ft 5in enforcer has been on the fringes of the squad at the Camp Nou this season and the Spanish giants want him to adapt to European football in the 2018/19 campaign out on loan.
