This follows a surprising 8.4% GDP growth in the October-December quarter, boosted by a sharp drop in subsidies that artificially increased net indirect taxes, while gross value added (GVA) grew by 6.5%. For the January-March period, GDP growth is expected to have slowed to 6.7%, with GVA growth at 6.2%.
