Signify aims double-digit growth from Indian business in 2024: CEO

Signify, formerly known as Philips Lighting, is targeting double-digit growth from its India business in 2024, a top company official has said. The company, which overall leads the Indian lighting market, also has plans to increase exports from India to other markets, playing a bigger role, Signify CEO and MD Sumit Joshi said. Vodafone-Idea completes minimum rollout obligation for 5G networks

Debt-ridden telecom operator Vodafone Idea on Friday said it has completed the minimum rollout obligation for 5G networks. Vodafone Idea (VIL) had acquired spectrum to provide 5G services in 17 telecom circles in 2022. "Vodafone Idea has completed its Minimum Rollout Obligation (MRO) across all Vi 5G circles on both spectrum bands," the company said in a statement. VIL had acquired 50 MHz spectrum in 3,300 Mhz band across 17 circles each for Rs 15,137.75 crore through auctions that were held in 2022. Читать дальше...

Cholera: Lagos LG suspends school food vendors

The Agege Local Government Area in Lagos State has suspended food vendors in schools in the area as a way of preventing the outbreak of cholera. Bengal told to ensure post-poll violence victims' safe return

A division bench headed by Justice Harish Tandon reviewed the situation with numerous petitions being submitted in the court and ordered the police to be more active in helping the displaced. "There are certain locations where the houses were vandalised. There were several other complaints of post-poll violence... CAPF was scheduled to stay till June 21.
