IndiGo cancels nearly 90 flights as disruptions continue in Delhi

IndiGo, the largest airline from Delhi airport's Terminal 1, has cancelled around 90 flights due to a roof collapse. SpiceJet's flights have been diverted to Terminals 2 and 3, but the number of SpiceJet flights shifted to these terminals is unknown. The airport's roof collapsed during heavy rains, causing at least one death and six injuries. The Indian Institute of Technology and the GMR group have set up committees to investigate the incident.

Court acquits 28 defendants in ‘Panama Papers’ trial

A Panamanian court has acquitted 28 people charged with money laundering in connection with the now-defunct law firm Mossack Fonseca, the epicenter of the “Panama Papers” international tax evasion scandal. Among those acquitted on Friday were the firm’s founders, Jurgen Mossack and Ramon Fonseca, the latter of whom died in May in a Panamanian hospital.

Dravid wins the first World Cup of his career in farewell match

Rahul Dravid ended his stint with Team India on a triumphant note as captain Rohit Sharma and his boys gave the head coach a brilliant farewell gift by winning the T20 World Cup, which not only marks the end of Dravid's tenure but also adds a World Cup triumph to his decorated career in cricket, albeit not as a player. Dravid was part of the Indian team that entered the 2003 ODI World Cup final, but lost to Australia.

WestJet airline cancels 150 flights after maintenance workers union strikes

toronto — Canada's second largest airline, WestJet, says it has cancelled at least 150 flights affecting 20,000 passengers beginning Saturday after the union of maintenance workers announced it has gone on strike.  The Aircraft Mechanics Fraternal Association said its members started to strike Friday evening because the airline's "unwillingness to negotiate with the union" made it inevitable.  The strike came after the federal government issued a ministerial order for binding arbitration on Thursday.
