KUALA LUMPUR — A chartered flight carrying 123 Malaysians evacuated from deadly violence in Bangladesh arrived in Kuala Lumpur on Tuesday, Malaysia's home minister said. Student-led protests against quotas in government jobs in Bangladesh spiraled into violence last week, with at least 147 people killed. Bangladesh's top court subsequently agreed to scrap most quotas following clashes between protesters and security forces that prompted the government to shut down internet services, impose a curfew and deploy the army. Coca-Cola lifts full-year forecast after profits top estimates

The soda giant reported profits of $2.4 billion in the second quarter, down five percent from the year-ago period. Revenues rose three percent to $12.4 billion. While volumes rose just two percent, results were boosted by a nine percent rise in "price/mix" reflecting retail price hikes, as well as Coca-Cola's shifting offering of products that has tilted towards higher-end goods.
