Oregon fire is the largest burning in the US. Thunderstorms and high winds are exacerbating it

Powerful winds and hundreds of lightning strikes from thunderstorms rattled the Oregon-Idaho border, pushing wildfires that include an Oregon fire which is already the largest active blaze in the nation. The Durkee Fire is burning near the Oregon-Idaho border, about 130 miles west of Boise, Idaho, and has closed a long stretch of Interstate 84. Report: Suns owner interested in bringing NHL back to Arizona

Arizona is now without an NHL team after the Coyotes relocated to Salt Lake City following the 2023-24 campaign. The franchise will have a new name come the 2025-26 season, but when it plays games this year, it will be known as the Utah Hockey Club.

Missouri high court blocks release of man whose conviction was overturned

ST. LOUIS, missouri — The Missouri Supreme Court has blocked the immediate release of a man whose murder conviction was overturned — just as the man was about to walk free. A St. Louis Circuit Court judge had ordered Christopher Dunn to be released by 6 p.m. CDT Wednesday and threatened the prison warden with contempt if Dunn remained imprisoned.
