Gurgaon municipal body set to pay cos Rs 2.3 crore for garbage collection, transportation

MCG has sanctioned Rs 2.3 crore to agencies for collecting and transporting waste to the Bandhwari landfill site, relocating 58,701 metric tonnes of garbage in July under the SWEEP program. Executive engineer Nijesh Kumar stated these agencies were compensated at Rs 390 per tonne. Additionally, MCG disburses around Rs 3 crore monthly to Ecogreen for waste management in Gurgaon.

The Chief Minister Nayab Saini approved amendments to the policy awarding prizes to teachers in state universities, government colleges, and government-aided private colleges. The service requirement was reduced from 15 years to 10 years. Fourteen state awards will be given annually, each worth Rs 1 lakh and a letter of appreciation based on four evaluation levels.
