A modified Goldstein filter for interferogram denoising of interferometric imaging radar altimeter based on multiple quality-guided graphs

by Jian Liu, Huili Zhang, Lihua Wang, Zhiyong Wang

Aiming at the characteristics that the signal noise ratio (SNR) gradually decreases from the near to far range of the swath, an adaptive phase filtering algorithm based on Goldstein filtering and combined with multiple quality-guided graphs was proposed. Firstly, the components used to determine the filtering parameters were obtained through residue density, pseudo-coherence coefficient and pseudo-SNR, the three quality-guided graphs. Then... Impact of pre-harvest fungicide application on the storage performance of tomato fruits

by Zhifu Lan, Jing Huang, Komivi S. Akutse, Yongwen Lin

To examine the impact of pre-harvest fungicide applications on the postharvest storage performance of tomato fruits, we measured the lycopene content, hardness, soluble solids content, rotting rate, and weight loss rate of the fruits, as well as conducted a sensory assessment. Protective and systematic fungicides were sprayed on tomatoes 20 days before harvest in order to prevent rotting and weight loss during storage. Our findings showed that... Читать дальше...

Fruit-In-Sight: A deep learning-based framework for secondary metabolite class prediction using fruit and leaf images

by Neeraja M. Krishnan, Saroj Kumar, Binay Panda

Fruits produce a wide variety of secondary metabolites of great economic value. Analytical measurement of the metabolites is tedious, time-consuming, and expensive. Additionally, metabolite concentrations vary greatly from tree to tree, making it difficult to choose trees for fruit collection. The current study tested whether deep learning-based models can be developed using fruit and leaf images alone to predict a metabolite’s concentration class (high or low). Читать дальше...

The dilemma between fertility and work: How did the Universal Two-Child policy affect Chinese women’s labor income?

by Yi Chen, Zu Wang

Based on China Family Panel Studies (CFPS) data from 2012 to 2020, we estimate the effect of the "Universal Two-Child" (UTC) policy on women’s employment income in China by the Difference-in-Difference (DID) model. Our results show that the UTC policy leads to an average decrease of 20.86% in women’s employment income. Moreover, we reveal the mediation effect in the impact of the UTC policy on women’s income and find that the UTC policy leads to a decrease in women’s income... Читать дальше...
