Grand opening for new NYS ITS facility in Latham

The New York State Office of Information Technology Services (ITS) is celebrating the grand opening of its new stand-alone facility in Latham which will house 450 ITS employees. ITS provides IT services for 53 state agencies and offers solutions to many challenges facing the New York State Government.

In the year since the Lahaina fires on Maui, the Council for Native Hawaiian Advancement has helped more than 6,000 families through a robust recovery project. It financially supports families who take in displaced loved ones, leases apartments for displaced survivors, runs workforce development programs to train people for cleanup and construction jobs, and builds temporary housing for families. SABR launches sixth-generation breastmilk pasteuriser for neonatal care

Nonprofit organisation (NPO) the South African Breastmilk Reserve (SABR), in partnership with medical aid and insurance provider Discovery and product development company SKEG, have launched the automated, South African-designed ‘SoSafe’ breastmilk pasteuriser. The SABR said this was a groundbreaking advancement in neonatal care and would assist in increasing human milk banking volumes, while helping to save the lives of many premature babies in neonatal intensive care units.
