Gonna focus on running and skills

Going from 7v7 to 9v9, the field is bigger. For a striker, on a pressing team, this is a lot more running. I can see my kid getting tired. The games are a also a bit longer.

So I am going to focus a bit more on running. I'm thinking of timing him in the mile and 2 mile. Or maybe the 1/2 mile and mile. Maybe he's too young for 2 mile?

Another thing is that, even if you have very high skill, if you lack endurance, your skills turn to mush after some running. Because you're just... Читать дальше...

The Kamala Strategy:  Hide Kamala, Push Walz, Rally like Trump, Harvest Illegal Votes

There are so many black swan events over the last 45 days that it is very easy to get black swan dispassion when you are staring right at the event.  The chaff and flares from the intentional distractions are beginning to fade and the Kamala strategy (the real Black Swan event to focus on) is becoming clear.  Steal the ball from Biden (who never had it) on his own 20-yard line, fake a pass, and then run hard left down the sideline in the last few minutes of the Presidential Election cycle hoping no one notices. Examining the alignment between subjective effort and objective force production

by Katja Rewitz, Sebastian Schindler, Wanja Wolff

Ratings of Perceived Exertion (RPE) are frequently used to prescribe exercise intensity. A central assumption of using RPE scales is that the subjective perception of effort maps onto objective performance in a consistent way. However, the degree and shape of how RPE aligns with objective performance is not fully understood. Here, we investigate the degree and shape of alignment, as well as how time (i.e., how frequently an effort needs to be performed) and mental effort (i.e.... Читать дальше...

Multi-physical field simulation calculation and analysis of simulated high-level waste liquid spray calcination

by Yanmei CHENG, Kening LI, Xingyun JIA, Guoan YE

Aiming at the independent research and development of a simulated high-level waste liquid spray calcination transformation treatment test device, a three-dimensional multi-physical field model of spray calcination was established by means of finite element analysis method. In this paper, the simulated high-level waste liquid is a mixed solution of nitrate solution and sucrose. The main chemical components of nitrate dissolution are HNO3 and NaNO3. Читать дальше...

The impact of directors’ information technology experience on the financing constraints of internet start-ups—Data mining with python on the China’s New OTC market

by Huiji Xu, Senqiang Wang, Jianping Wang, Xiuyu Liu, Kaoxun Chi

In the era of Internet information technology, the IT background of directors plays a significant role in corporate governance. However, existing research lacks sufficient discussion on the financing constraints faced by Internet startups. This paper examines Internet entrepreneurial enterprises listed on the New Third Board as the research sample. Using content analysis coding methods and Python software for text mining, the... Acoustic performance analysis of wooden structure building wall by integrating BIM technology and impedance tube method

by Jia Yin, Xiangren Ai

With the increasing demand for building acoustic performance, accurately evaluating the acoustic performance of building walls has become an important research topic. However, existing research has mostly focused on general building materials such as concrete, iron and steel, and glass. For wooden structure wall, due to the sound absorption performance of the materials themselves and the complexity of structural design, the analysis of their acoustic performance is still relatively weak. Re-measurement of agricultural carbon emission rates: Drivers, regional differences and dynamic evolution

by Yan Guo, Min Chen

This research paper introduces a novel approach by combining a Backpropagation (BP) neural network with a non-angular and non-radial directional distance function to construct a BPNN-DDF model. This innovative model evaluates, decomposes, and analyzes China’s agricultural sector’s carbon emission rate across nine key subregions between 2010 and 2021. The key findings of this study are that China’s agricultural carbon emission rate is decreasing, primarily due to technological... Читать дальше...

Fostering inclusive science media: Insights from examining the relationship between women’s identities and their anticipated engagement with Deep Look YouTube science videos

by Jocelyn Steinke, Christine Gilbert, Kelsi Opat, Asheley R. Landrum

As science media content creators strive for inclusivity in communication design and promotion, they must consider the influence of audiences’ identities on their engagement with science media. A gender gap in viewership or "missing audience" has been identified for women viewers for educational science content on digital media; one such example of this is Deep Look, a science video series from KQED public media and PBS Digital Studios distributed on YouTube. The effect of final irrigation with different solutions on smear layer removal and dentin erosion: A scanning electron microscope study

by Mohammed AlBatati, Ammar AbuMostafa

Aim

This study aimed to compare the effectiveness of initial irrigation with sodium hypochlorite (NaOCl) and final irrigation with QMix, 40% citric acid, and 17% ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA) on smear layer removal and dentin erosion.

Methodology

Forty extracted human mandibular premolar teeth were randomly divided into four groups (n = 10) according to the type of final irrigants used: 17% EDTA, QMix, citric acid, and control (normal saline). Читать дальше...
