The Foundation for a Historical and Cultural Research (FIHCR) led by historian Vikram Sampath introduces the Sir Jadunath Sarkar Fellowship for Indian History to support emerging scholars and promote fresh perspectives on India's rich past. The fellowship covers ancient, medieval, modern Indian history, the freedom movement, and post-Independence history, with grants of Rs 15 lakh. Eight scholars have been selected from 19 shortlisted candidates for the inaugural batch.
