New generation of French farmers struggle to find available land

France is facing a crisis in agriculture: its workforce is ageing rapidly, with half of its 400,000 farmers due to retire by 2030. But the sector is not only dealing with demographic issues. Every year, some 7,000 aspiring farmers say they are unable to set up their business because of a lack of available land.
