Republican Daniel W. Betts is challenging incumbent Democrat José Garza for Travis County district attorney. Garza defeated a challenger during the primary election in March with nearly 67% of the vote.

Incumbent Republican Sen. Ted Cruz is expected to keep the Texas seat in the U.S. Senate, NBC projected Tuesday.
