McEwen Copper secures enviro permit for Los Azules copper project

McEwen Copper, a subsidiary of NYSE-listed McEwen Mining, has received approval for the environmental impact assessment (EIA) of its Los Azules copper project in San Juan, Argentina. The environmental impact statement, issued by the provincial government, follows a review process that began with the submission of the EIA documentation in April 2023. The process involved more than 3 000 pages of technical reports, consultations with local stakeholders, and a site visit to the project.
