Rio Tinto reinforces strategy for diversified growth, targets 1Mt/y of copper

Rio Tinto, one of the world’s largest mining companies, has reaffirmed its goal of producing one-million tonnes a year of copper by the end of the decade, as part of its strategy to become a global leaders in energy transition materials. Speaking at the company’s 2024 Investor Seminar in London, CEO Jakob Stausholm emphasised the company’s strategy of investing for a “stronger, more diversified and growing portfolio”.

Oyo parent, Oravel launch premium hotels in UK & Middle East

Oyo's parent company, Oravel Stays Limited, launched its premium hotel brand, SUNDAY, in the UK and Dubai. The UK property, a restored historic building near Canary Wharf, joins existing SUNDAY locations in India. Oravel plans further SUNDAY expansion in Dubai and other global destinations, targeting both leisure and business travelers.

Who is the next BCCI secretary? State units wonder after Shah's elevation to ICC

With Jay Shah becoming the youngest chairman of the International Cricket Council (ICC) on December 1, the position of secretary in the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has been left vacant. The BCCI is now considering potential replacements, including Gujarat's Anil Patel and current BCCI joint secretary Devjit Saikia, with Saikia likely to serve as interim secretary for the time being.
