Haryana farmer agrees to pay Rs 3 crore to end 44-year-long marriage

A 70-year-old Haryana man agreed to pay his estranged 73-year-old wife ₹3.07 crore as permanent alimony, ending their 18-year legal battle and 44-year marriage. The settlement, reached through mediation at the Punjab and Haryana High Court, involved the husband selling his agricultural land. The wife and children relinquish all future claims on the husband's estate.

Food experts are raising concerns about the safety of agricultural imports into the Kurdistan Region, saying many products contain high levels of harmful chemicals like nitrite. These chemicals, often caused by excessive fertilizer use, can lead to serious health problems, including cancer.
