Man thinks rock is gold, turns out to be ancient meteorite worth lot more

David Hole discovered a heavy rock in 2015, initially believing it contained gold. After years of attempts to open it, Melbourne Museum identified it as the Maryborough meteorite, a 17kg iron-rich H5 chondrite from the asteroid belt.
