Helen Flanagan makes hint she’s dating again after sharing cyrptic quote about ‘talking stage’

HELEN Flanagan’s broken heart may well be on the mend, as the former Corrie star has hinted that she’s seeing someone new, less than 2 years after her split from footballer Scott Sinclair.

The 33-year-old shared a cryptic quote on social media which seems to suggest that she’s playing the dating game and enjoying life.

Having split from the Bristol Rovers Winger, in October 2022 after 13 years together,  Helen has focused on the wellbeing of their three children- Matilda 8, Delilah Five and two year old Charlie.

But perhaps now the actress is now ready to immerse herself once again onto the scene.

Sharing some fun reels of days out with her kids, she also included a quote, strongly hinting that she has started seeing people.

The quote read: “You accidentally let your weird side out during the talking stage.”

Last year the actress told The Sun fabulous magazine that the couple had come to the mutual decision to split for the sake of their children.

She said: “It was a mutual decision and, personally, I felt as a mum that this was the best thing for my children.

I want them to see healthy relationships and to be in healthy environments. I think if you’re unhappy then that projects on to them.

“Especially when you have daughters, you feel like you have to set an example.

“I always ask myself: ‘What would I want my daughters to do? What would I want for them?’ I’d want them to be happy. I wouldn’t want them to feel stuck.”

Meanwhile her ex Scott, 35, appears to have moved on himself, after he was spotted last month, holding hands with swimwear model, Louise Tarver

Indeed, Helen hasn’t always been able to so pragmatic about their separation.

Earlier this year she revealed that she’d been diagnosed with psychosis after struggling with the breakdown of their relationship.

Helen, 33, told how a bad reaction to ADHD medication sent her into a psychosis.

Sharing a picture of her smiling as she poses with a peace sign, Helen reassured fans she’s in a “really good happy place now” after therapy.

The mum-of-three posted online: “Basically I really struggled mental health wise December/January.

“I felt really not great in my head over Christmas and I didn’t really feel that much different when I took the kids away for new year.

I had a lot of difficult things going on things I just can’t talk about on Instagram. I felt terrible.’

She had been due to make her acting comeback in a UK tour of the murder mystery play Cluedo 2, but pulled out at the advice of her doctors.

“I was due on my theatre tour which I was excited about so when I came back from holiday I thought it was best for me to take some medication so I’d feel better and be able to cope better with being a working single mum of three and I was emotionally struggling with the break up from the father of my kids but I had a really bad reaction though to the medication ( an ADHD medication) and it sent me into a psychosis for a few days which I didn’t know I was in.”

Helen who played Rosie Webster on Corrie from 2000 to 2018, was eventually replaced by another star from ITV’s Coronation Street, Ellie Leach, 22, fresh from her BBC Strictly Come Dancing win last year.

The mother- of-three explained that even after a year, the heartache was too painful to ignore.

She said: “This bad reaction though was a few days before rehearsals were starting and sadly I just wasn’t mentally well enough to do it.

“I was heartbroken as I’ve always been professional as an actress, but I needed to stay at home and feel better for me and my kids, with the help of my amazing parents.”

After the invaluable support of family, friends and some psychotherapy, Helen is now in a much better place.

She said: “I’ve always been honest on here and I feel in a really good happy place now.

“Therapy can be amazing and I feel like I’ve worked on myself with things that were quite tough to me but I feel lighter now. Anyway sending love and please be kind.”
