Trabzonspor believe they have found a transfer formula which will allow them to sign Paul Onuachu from Southampton this summer.

 

The Turkish side are desperate to keep hold of Onuachu following his exploits on loan at the club, but Southampton have resisted their attempts to strike a new loan deal.

 

Saints would rather sell Onuachu, something which is an issue for Trabzonspor as the English club are claimed to value him at €12m.

 

 

However, according to Turkish outlet A Spor, Trabzonspor believe they have the solution to be able to keep the 29-year-old.

 

Trabzonspor will offer money to Southampton and players to Saints’ sister club in Turkey, Goztepe.

 

 

The Black Sea Storm did the same last summer when they signed Mislav Orsic from Southampton.

 

By letting Taha Altikardes move to Goztepe on a free transfer, Trabzonspor were able to do a deal with Saints for Orsic.

 

 

They believe they will be able to repeat the trick this summer and keep hold of Onuachu.

 

The striker is keen to remain at Trabzonspor.
