BELLE Dingle is violently attacked by husband Tom King in horror Emmerdale spoilers.

The newlyweds didn’t even reach the honeymoon period in the ITV soap, as Tom has continued to escalate his controlling behaviour over his wife.

As well as pressuring her for sex on a number of occasions, he has installed a ‘pup cam’ in the house which he is actually using to watch Belle’s every move from his phone when he’s not there.

He has also pressured his wife into trying for a baby, even though she gave multiple reasons why it was too soon in their marriage to be doing so.

Last week, Belle decided to secretly stay on the contraceptive pill and during Tuesday’s episode, Emmerdale viewers saw Tom’s abuse become physical after he found out.

Following a disastrous dinner party, Tom confronted Belle in the kitchen and forced her hand under a scolding hot tap.

But that is only just the start of his reign of terror, as in upcoming scenes, he will turn violent again.

The week begins with Tom continuing to isolate Belle from her family, and he opens a joint account for him and Belle as he seizes control of another aspect of her life.

However, Tom’s furious to find Belle chatting to Lydia and Mandy on the Puppy cam and begins to listen into their conversation.

The three playfully tease Tom behind his back, unaware that he’s furiously listening to every word.

When Tom arrives home unexpectedly, Belle’s relieved to find that he’s pleasant to Mandy and Lydia but worries whether he’s being genuine.

Sure enough, Tom’s mood turns menacing when they leave and Belle finds herself in a terrifying situation when Tom turns on her once again…

Speaking about Belle and Tom’s relationship, actress Eden Taylor-Draper, who plays Belle, said: “There’s a lot going on and Belle’s not actually aware at this point of any of those things happening.

“So the viewers obviously see what Tom is doing and what Tom’s capable of.

“Belle knows something isn’t quite right but whenever there’s any situation she completely blames herself and he does a great job gaslighting her into feeling that way.

“He’s so good at turning it on her and I think when that’s being drilled into her constantly, every day for everything, it’s easy for her to believe that she’s the one at fault.
