According to the print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport (08/05/24), Tiago Djalo, who Spurs failed with a move for in January, could be allowed to leave Juventus in the summer.

The report says that a number of Premier League clubs, including Spurs, Newcastle United, Aston Villa and Wolves, showed interest in swooping for the Portuguese defender in January when it became clear that he was on his way out of Lille.

However, it was Juve who were successful in winning the race for centre-back at the time, successfully seeing off competition from the Premier League for the player.

Tiago Djalo could be on the move again

Gazzetta have now said that Djalo could be on his way out of Turin this summer, having struggled for game time since his switch to the Bianconeri.

It is explained that the centre-back is yet to convince Max Allegri that he deserves a place in the starting eleven and is unlikely to break into the side in the final three matches of the season.

It is suggested that the Serie A giants could loan out the 24-year-old but there is no indication yet that the aforementioned Premier League sides would show interest in the player.

There is absolutely no credible information from any reliable sources that Djalo has ever been a priority target for Tottenham, either in January or ahead of the upcoming summer window.
