Albany might be joining the ranks of Major League Soccer. NEWS10 at a press conference Thursday when city leaders laid out their plans for a new $300 million, 8000-seat complex that would bring the sport to the Capital Region.
2. One arrested after over 30 dogs seized from Halfmoon home
One person was arrested after dozens of dogs were seized from a home on Thursday in Halfmoon. According to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, more than 30 dogs were seized from the home on Brookwood Road.
3. Plans continue on Holocaust memorial in Niskayuna
A new memorial is coming to Niskayuna to help the Capital Region remember and honor the victims of the Holocaust. The group behind the project is hoping to inspire others to confront hate.
4. Chocolate milk recalled, sold in the Capital Region
The New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets announced a recall of chocolate milk sold in the Capital Region on Thursday, May 9. The chocolate milk was produced by Meadowbrook Farms Dairy and processed on Wednesday, April 24.
5. Tulip Festival weekend set to kick off in Albany
Tulip Festival returns to Washington Park in Albany this weekend. The 76th annual event featuring live music performances, over 100 vendors, and gorgeous floral displays will get started with a series of opening ceremonies on May 10.
