The Merseyside thriller focuses on when a gymnast is attacked at an illegal rave. Here’s what we know.
What is The Gathering about?
Channel 4 series The Gathering follows the story of a violent attack on a teenager at a beach rave.
The programme features “toxic teenagers – and their even more toxic parents”.
Set in Liverpool, characters who may have been involved in the attack are introduced to viewers.
Warren Brown, who plays main character Kelly’s father in the show, said that the cast didn’t know during filming who the attacker was.
Who is in the cast of The Gathering?
Eva Morgan as Kelly
Eva Morgan will be playing the main character of Kelly in her breakout role.
The Liverpool native graduated from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in 2023.
Vinette Robinson as Natalie
Vinette Robinson is no stranger to our screens, with her most recent role as Natalie in The Gathering.
She’s also been in Sherlock, Black Mirror, Waterloo Road, Boiling Point and Doctor Who.
Richard Coyles as Jules
Richard Coyles will be playing Jules in The Gathering.
You may also recognise him from Six Four, The Fall and The Whistleblowers.
Sadie Soverall as Jessica
Sadie Soverall is an actress from London and will take on the role of Jessica.
She made her film debut in the 2019 Irish drama Rose Plays Julie.
Warren Brown as Paul
Warren Brown has plenty of credits to his name and is adding the role of Paul in The Gathering.
He has appeared in Doctor Who, Liar, Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps and Casualty.

Where was The Gathering filmed?
The Gathering was filmed across Merseyside.
Filming locations include Hilbre Island and Liverpool’s Princess Docks.
The Gino D’Campo Sky Bar 360 also features in a scene as well as the INNSiDE Hotel on the city’s Old Hall Street.
Liverpool’s World Museum is turned into the Liverpool Arts Club as scenes set in the Manchester Gymnastics Club were shot at the City of Liverpool Gymnastics Club.
St John’s Gardens and West Kirby Park in Wirral also appear in the series.
How to watch The Gathering
The Gathering will air on Channel 4 on Tuesday May 14, 2024.
The programme will be on at 9pm.
There will be an episode each week for six weeks, with the finale on Tuesday June 18, 2024.
